A Successful Fundraiser

If you've followed my blog for some time, you already know that I was involved in the breast cancer fundraiser event intended for taggers called "Taking Back PSP".  Well, their live event took place yesterday, March 23, and the organizers reported $2,520.00 in total donation raised.  I'm impressed and very happy that this event was successful and I got to be a part of it.  Three artists from PSP Tube Stop donated exclusive tubes -- Constanza Ehrenhaus, Joanna Bromley, and me.

This fundraiser truly was a win-win situation in the best sense of the word.  For only $10 of donation, which went straight to PinkRibbon.org, the donors were given the opportunity to take all of the exclusive tubes -- some 30+ tubes from professional artists --, many scrapkits in different themes, plus a chance to win one of the many door prizes.  So the actual value of the merchandise you received was easily 30 times that of the donation, considering most tubes sell for around $1.50 to $1.80 on the market.

Here's a look at the exclusive tube that was offered at this event.  The "Pink Ribbon Mermaid" tube is no longer available anywhere on the web, but you can find a wide selection of merchandise featuring this artwork at my shop.
